These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of levelsetcollections.com and to the services provided by LevelSet Collections LLC ("LevelSet," "we," "us"). By using the site or hiring us, you agree to these Terms.

Our services

LevelSet is a lien filing and construction collections agency. We prepare and file mechanic's liens, pre-lien notices, notices of intent to lien, payment bond claims, retainage claims and lien releases, and we collect unpaid construction invoices. We currently file in 18 states: Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.

We are not a law firm

LevelSet is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. The information on this website, including deadline guides and blog posts, is general information only and may not fit your situation. Laws and deadlines change. If you need legal advice or a lawsuit, including a suit to enforce a lien, talk to an attorney licensed in your state.

Your responsibilities

Give us complete, accurate and truthful information about the job, the parties, the amounts owed and the dates of work. We rely on what you give us.
Send us your job early. Lien and notice deadlines are strict, and we cannot file a document that is already late.
Only ask us to claim amounts you are legally owed.
By placing a job with us, you authorize LevelSet to act as your agent to prepare, sign, notarize, record and serve the documents for that job.

Fees

Liens and lien releases: $199 to $500 each, all-inclusive. The price covers recording fees, notarizing and serving. We quote your price before we start.
Pre-lien notices: $100.
Collections and payment bond claims: contingency, 10% to 33% of what we collect. No collection, no charge.

Invoices are due when issued unless we agree otherwise in writing.

No guarantee of payment

A lien, notice or collection effort does not guarantee that you will be paid. Results depend on the facts of your job, the law of the state, and the other party's ability and willingness to pay.

Website use

Do not misuse this website, interfere with its operation, or submit false or spam inquiries. The site's content, logo and design belong to LevelSet Collections LLC. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LevelSet's total liability for any claim related to the website or our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the job that the claim concerns. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for losses caused by inaccurate or late information you provided.

Indemnity

You agree to hold LevelSet harmless from claims that arise from information you gave us that was false or incomplete, or from amounts you asked us to claim that were not owed.
